Is it actually waterproof or just water-resistant?

It's waterproof, not just water-resistant. A TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) barrier is sealed between the two fabric layers: the top layer absorbs liquid and the barrier stops it from reaching your sheets. It is designed to hold up to 30 oz of liquid (roughly 4 cups). You never touch the waterproof layer, only the soft fleece and velvet. If your blanket arrives damaged or defective, email us within 7 days of delivery and we will replace it or refund you (see our Refund and Return Policy).
Can I really put it in the dryer?

Yes. Tumble dry on low to medium heat for about 30 minutes and it is ready to use again, so you can wash and dry it the same day. Avoid high heat and fabric softener to keep the waterproof layer performing.
Does it feel crinkly like plastic?

The waterproof TPU barrier is sandwiched between ultra-soft sherpa fleece on one side and micro-velvet on the other, so you only ever touch the fabric. There is no crinkle sound or plastic texture. How do I wash and care for it?

Will it look obvious in my bedroom?
